Product Options

This guide provides details of the different standard product options available for the BOX-tracker and BOX-solo tracker, as well as the the premium add-ons for the BOX-tracker. Additionally, it sets out the availability of monthly contract, SIM free (own SIM) and leasing options.

Standard Alerts

All of our trackers can report pre-programmed events by way of an alert (via e-mail or SMS).

These events include:

• Movement during/outside working hours
• Arrival/departure to/from a specified location
• Entering/exiting a specified area (Geofencing)
• Speeding (user set parameters)
• Early/late arrival at appointment
• Entering/exiting a congestion zone
• Ignition on/off
• Excessive engine idle

Options:

• E-mail alerts are included, free of charge
• SMS alerts are available as an optional extra - £2.99 per month/£8.97 per quarter

True Speed Alert

All of our trackers can be programmed with TRUE SPEED detection, which uses up to the minute mapping data.

With this option enabled, an alert is sent if the tracked vehicle exceeds a prevailing speed limit. The alert will show the actual speed of the vehicle and the speed limit in force.

True Speed alerts are available as an optional extra - £0.75 per month, payable quarterly.

Installation

Installation requires a connection to the vehicle's battery and ignition switch. Three diagnostic lights indicate the status of the battery, ignition switch and GPRS connection, making it incredibly easy to guarantee the installation is working.

Measuring just 135 x 70 x 21.5mm, it is one of the smallest tracking devices currently available and with an integral GSM/GPS antenna it can be installed covertly reducing the risk of detection and tampering.

Installation and commissioning is carried out by a fully trained Box Telematics engineer and can be arranged to suit customer requirements:

• Standard Installation (weekdays, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) is included
• Out of Hours Installation (weekdays outside those hours and/or weekends) is available for an additional £20.00

Subscription

All of our tracking systems are supplied with an active SIM and subject to a 12 month fixed term contract (1 month notice) basis.

PLEASE NOTE:

Subscriptions are payable quarterly, in advance.

The subscription includes unlimited user access to the Spoton Tracking Software and unlimited UK data usage per month.

European data is always available, however this will be subject to additional International Roaming charges. Please contact us for details.

Subscription Payments

Subscription payments can be made via Direct Debit or invoice:

• Direct Debit - a Direct Debit mandate form is enclosed with all orders, for signature and return. PLEASE NOTE, if the Direct Debit mandate is not returned, payment will be invoiced (as detailed below).
• Invoice - payments will be invoiced when due (monthly or quarterly). PLEASE NOTE, if paying by this method an administration charge of £10 per invoice will apply.

Driver ID

The Driver ID function is very useful for companies where drivers share vehicles. Drivers are issued with a unique and personal i-button which has to be swiped when entering the vehicle. Without this the vehicle will be unable to operate.

Once logged on the system will detail all movements against the registered driver and provide full details for Management reporting.

Mobilisation/Immobilisation

Remote immobilisation is a new feature available for the Tracking Devices. Accessed through the SpotOn software any vehicle with this option can be immobilised but for safety reasons this will only work when the ignition has been switched off.

PLEASE NOTE:

Remote vehicle immobilisation systems do not include a manual override.

Neither BOX Telematics nor The Tracking Store can be held responsible for a vehicle being out of commission due to the unavailability of signal coverage, meaning that the Mobilise command sent from the Spoton software via SMS is not able to reach the unit installed into the vehicle and the vehicle not able to be started.

If for some reason the Spoton software or the BOX Telematics servers are unable to send out any mobilise/immobilise commands due to temporary unavailability or fault we will make all best efforts to rectify these issues within standard office hours (9am - 5pm, Mon - Fri). If the software or server issues continue past 24 working hours we will make an engineer available to attend to the vehicle and temporarily disconnect the immobilisation wiring until the issue has been resolved. Outside of our office hours we are unable to offer support.

Panic Switch

The Panic Switch function is invaluable for drivers if they are ever placed in vulnerable positions. An easy to press emergency panic switch is located on the dash board for use in emergencies.

A silent text message (and or e-mail) is sent to a dedicated address with a pre-recorded text message requesting assistance. A check via the Tracking Software for the vehicles exact location and immediate help can be supplied.

Panic Switch/24hr Call Centre

For additional security a subscription to the dedicated Operator Centre is available. This provides a bespoke service with escalation procedures for full 24/7 support.

Power Take Off

The Power Take Off function is invaluable for recording and reporting the time an additional power source is being used from a vehicle or machine.

Monthly Contracts

All of our tracking devices are supplied subject to a 12 month contract as standard.

However, we can supply our trackers on a rolling one month contract by way of a special order.
